There’s no place like the Upper Peninsula.

I’m Adam Taivalkoski, and I approach real estate differently.

Unique properties require a unique approach.

The outcome is driven more by how your property is marketed than where it’s listed.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve found joy in focusing on properties across Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula that don’t always fit into a typical category with waterfront, rural acreage, and homes with unique characteristics.

These properties require a more deliberate process. How they’re evaluated, positioned, and presented has a direct impact on the result.

As a lifelong Yooper, I bring a local understanding of the properties and the buyers that they attract. The goal isn’t just to list a property, it’s to make sure that it’s handled the right way from the start.

“Phenomenal to work with"

"Adam was phenomenal to work with. He listened to what I was looking for and provided me with many options while looking at all from multiple perspectives to help me see all of my options. Adam also asked the questions I had not thought of, helping protect me through the purchase process. I would gladly reach out to and work with Adam again in the future."

“No pressure or headaches”

"Adam did a great job selling our house, we got more than we expected with no pressure or headaches."

SAVU, pronounced saw-vu, means smoke in Finnish. As a person of 100% Finnish descent, I try to embody the traditional Finnish values of being hard-working, having sisu (grit), and striving for simplicity.

Why smoke? Smoke coming out of a chimney tells us that a house is a home. A fire has been lit. A family is inside, safe and warm. I thrive on finding and selling houses that become homes.

What does SAVU mean?
